Typesetter

The translator broach is a tool in lead type . It looks like a screwdriver, but it has a narrow steel tip. This can also be exchangeable. With it, the typesetter lifted individual letters out of the case or made corrections in the printing form in the case of closely spaced plug-in font boxes (see also: typesetting box ) . The typesetting awl is also used for binding, i.e. making a lead type ready for transport and storage.
