Severin Frei (born June 27, 1981 in Wattwil , Switzerland ) is a Swiss chemist HF, lecturer, filmmaker and rapper .

life and career

Severin Frei grew up as the youngest of eleven siblings in Wattwil in Toggenburg . At the age of 14 he attended the German School in Quito , Ecuador , where his mother had been working in aid organizations a year earlier, after which he continued to travel frequently to South America . In 1998 he began an apprenticeship as a druggist, which he still does today, and also started black horse under the stage name El Siete . Back in South America in 2009 he shot his first documentary Panamericana with his brother Jonas and a colleague Thomas Rickenmann , which gives insight into the lives of many individual fates on the longest road in the worldPanamericana , live.

At the beginning of 2012 he founded his first company SieteMOVE GmbH with a view to further film productions.

In 2012 he shot his second documentary Swiss Spirit on his own . The film gives a wide variety of impressions and perspectives around Switzerland. The film was shown in Swiss cinemas in 2013.

In 2014 he made his third documentary Pura Vida - Across Ecuador . He was in turn responsible for production, direction and camera. In addition, a friend (Marco Stocker) was on the set, who acted both as a cameraman and as a specialist in time lapses and hyperlapses . Pura Vida premiered in Swiss cinemas in September 2015.
