The Shōmyō waterfall ( Japanese 称 名 滝 , Shōmyō-daki ) is the highest waterfall in Japan at 350 m . It is located in Tateyama in Toyama Prefecture . The waterfall has a total of four slopes, each 70 m, 58 m, 96 m and 126 m high. The highest waterfall in Japan with only one gradient is the Nachi waterfall in Wakayama prefecture with a drop height of 133 m.
