Shūsuke Shimada ( Japanese 島 田 周 輔 , Shimada Shūsuke ; born July 10, 1976 in Kanagawa Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Shimada learned to play football in the youth team of the Yokohama Marinos . He signed his first contract in 1995 with the Yokohama Marinos, who played in the country's highest league, the J1 League . With the club he became Japanese champion in 1995 . In 1997 he moved to Yokogawa Electric , then in 1999 to the second division club Albirex Niigata . For this club he completed 24 games. In 2000 he moved to third division club Otsuka Pharmaceutical . For this club he completed 21 games. At the end of 2000 he ended his career as a soccer player.
