The Shag Rock is a cliff rocks in front of the Graham Coast of Graham Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located 160 m east of Cliff Island in the Grandidier Channel .
Participants in the British Graham Land Expedition (1934-1937), led by the Australian polar explorer John Rymill, mapped and named him. It is named after the blue-eyed shag ( Phalacrocorax atriceps , English imperial shag ) that is widespread in this area .
