Shah Waliullah Award

The Shah Waliullah Award ( Shāh-Walī-Allāh Prize ) has been awarded by the Institute of Objective Studies (IOS) in New Delhi since 2000 . It was established to honor the outstanding achievements of the Indian Islamic thinker Shah Waliullah (1703–1762) and to promote Islamic values. The award honors scientists who have made outstanding achievements in the fields of social sciences, humanities, law and Islamic studies. The award has been given to the best scholar of the year since 2000 in the form of "of a cash of one lakh rupees, memento, shawl and a scroll of honor containing citation".

The award ceremony takes place in various rooms of prominent places, such as the Jamia Millia Islamia (New Delhi), the Jamia Hamdard (New Delhi), the Constitution Club (New Delhi), the Bhartiya Bhasha Parishad Hall (Shakespear Sarani, Kolkata ) and Darul Uloom Sabeelur Rashad ( Bangalore ).
