The Shamshir Shikargar is a saber from Persia.

description

The Shamshir Shikargar (Pers. "Hunter's Sword") has a curved, single-edged blade. The blade becomes narrower from the handle to the location . The place is pointed. The booklet is worked like the booklet of the Talwar . The pommel is disc-shaped. The scabbards are usually made of wood covered with leather or fabric. The blade material ranged from simple steel to the finest Wootz steel available at the time. The Shamshir Shikargar was mainly made in Persia and India. The difference to the usual Shamshir is that the Shamshir Shikargar was only used for hunting and that hunting scenes are engraved on its blade.
