The Shan District ( Chinese  单 县 , Pinyin Shàn Xiàn ) is a district that belongs to the administrative area of ​​the prefecture-level city of Heze in the southwest of the east Chinese province of Shandong . In 1999 it had 1,134,337 inhabitants.
