Shane Rangi
Shane Rangi (born February 3, 1969 in New Zealand ) is a New Zealand stuntman and film actor .
Life
Rangi has appeared in each of the three Lord of the Rings films as a stunt performer. Most of the time he was a double for an Uruk-hai . Director Peter Jackson was convinced by him so that he both in one part ( Witch King ) and 3 part ( Haradrim leader ) as an actor before the camera was allowed.
Most recently, the 193 centimeter tall giant acted as General Otmin in The Chronicles of Narnia: The King of Narnia , although he could not be recognized under his minotaur mask . In 2012 he took on the stunts and the lead role as satyr Hylinus in the 2013 thriller Dark Hollow. In the filming of the Brian Keene book, he worked again with Paul Campion , who already worked with Rangi on The Lord of the Rings as a matte artist.
Rangi also worked closely with Weta Workshop and was able to work a lot in the area of special effects for The Lord of the Rings and I, Robot .
