Shao Jiayi ( Chinese : 邵佳一, Shào Jiāyī) (born April 10, 1980 in Beijing , China ) is a former Chinese football player .
Career
Shao is a versatile attacking midfielder. He started his professional career at Beijing Guoan in China . In 2002 he moved to TSV 1860 Munich in Germany for 1.3 million euros . There he was initially substituted mostly, but developed more and more to a regular player and was in the 2005/06 season in 25 of the 34 season games on the field. However, since the Lions were in financial worries and Shao was one of the club's top earners, his contract was not extended. He moved to Energie Cottbus on a free transfer , where he first played in the Bundesliga and after the club's relegation in 2009 in the 2nd Bundesliga and, as a highlight in 2011, advanced as a second division team to the DFB Cup semi-finals. On May 9, 2011, the MSV Duisburg , against whom he was eliminated in the DFB Cup semi-finals shortly before, announced the free transfer obligation of Shao Jiayi. Shao signed a two-year contract. In the same year, however, Shao moved back to his hometown club Beijing Guoan . He ended his career there in November 2015, and is now the sports director of the club.
Shao also played a number of games for the Chinese national team , including the 2004 AFC Asian Cup , where he scored three goals in six games. The hosts China lost the final against Japan with 1: 3.
