Shapley 1 ( Sp 1 or PN G329.0 + 01.9 ) is a ring-shaped planetary nebula in the constellation Winkelpunkt , which is approximately 1000 light years away. It has an angular extent of 1.1 arc minutes, which, taking into account the distance, corresponds to a diameter of a third of a light year. In the center there is a double system with a duration of 2.9 days.
Shapley 1 was discovered and cataloged by Harlow Shapley in 1936 .
