Shara barkhovot ( German : Singing in the streets ) was the entry sung by Rita in Hebrew for the Eurovision Song Contest 1990 . Rita competed for Israel .

This song is about the feelings in a dying relationship. Rita sings how she had to force herself not to be with him.

Shara barchovot only achieved a disappointing 18th place with 16 points.

Rita appeared as the tenth artist, after the Norwegian contribution Brandenburg Gate , sung by Ketil Stokkan's Pop Band and before the Danish contribution Hallo-Hallo , sung by Lonnie Devantier.
