Sharafuddin Lutfillaev

Sharafuddin Lutfillaev ( Cyrillic and Russian Шарафуддин Лутфиллаев ; born September 9, 1990 ) is an Uzbek judoka . In 2019 he was second in the world championship in extra light weight , the weight class up to 60 kilograms.

Athletic career

Sharafuddin Lutfillaev took part in the 2014 Asian Games in Tashkent and finished fifth. He won a bronze medal at the 2015 Asian Championships. At the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , Diyorbek Oʻrozboyev competed for Uzbekistan .

In 2017 Lutfillaev reached the final at the Grand Slam tournament in Paris , where he was defeated by the Japanese Naohisa Takato , a year later he reached the final again, this time defeated by the Japanese Toru Shishime . At the 2019 World Championships in Tokyo, he defeated Naohisa Takato in the quarter-finals and the Kazakhs Gusman Kyrgyzbayev in the semi-finals . In the final he lost to the Georgian Luchum Tschchwimiani .
