Sharing (from English to share, " share ", "participate", "distribute") stands for:

  • Booksharing , the mutual provision of books of all kinds in largely non-commercial networks and communities
  • Car sharing , the organized sharing of one or more cars
  • Code sharing , a procedure in which two or more airlines offer a scheduled flight under their own flight number
  • File sharing , the exchange or joint use of files, programs, music, games, etc. on the computer network, especially on the Internet
  • Foodsharing , the sharing of food (see also Foodsharing.de )
  • Photo sharing , editing and transferring digital photos on the Internet
  • Line sharing , a method with which conventional fixed network services (analog connection / ISDN) and ADSL-based data services from different providers can be offered over the same telephone line
  • Screen sharing , the transmission of the contents of a computer screen to one or more other computers
  • Secret sharing , a technique in cryptology to share a secret (usually a number) among a certain number of so-called players
  • Site sharing , sharing of a cellular radio transmission tower between two or more cellular network operators
  • Time-sharing (computer science) , an approach to allow several users to work on one computer at the same time, in which they share the computing time of the only available processor
