Sharon Wardle

Sharon Wardle (* 1964 / 1965 ) is a British diplomat .

Life

Sharon Wardle joined the British Foreign Service, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO), in 1985 .

In July 2017, she was sent by the Theresa May government as ambassador to the West African Gambia , replacing Colin Crorkin . During her tenure, Gambia rejoined the Commonwealth in February 2018 under the Barrow government , so her status as ambassador changed to a High Commissioner (Gambia left the Commonwealth under the Jammeh government in 2013).
