Colin Crorkin

Colin Wynn Crorkin OBE (born January 31, 1957 in Edinburgh ) is a British diplomat .

Life

Colin Crorkin joined the British Foreign Service, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO), in 1975 .

As British ambassador , he was sent by the Cameron government as high commissioner to the West African Gambia in April 2014 , replacing David Morley . His term in Gambia ended in 2017. Sharon Wardle succeeded him in Gambia in July 2017. Crorkin was then sent to Freetown, Sierra Leone, as Deputy High Commissioner .

Colin Crorkin is the son of Daniel and Elizabeth Crorkin. He married Joanne Lynn Finnamore in 1991. The marriage resulted in two sons and a daughter.
