The Shearwater Glacier ( English ) is a glacier in the northwest of the Antarctic Ross Island . It is located immediately southeast of the Quaternary Icefall and west of Palais Bluff .
The New Zealand Antarctic Place-Names Committee named him in 1989 after the English name for the genus Calonectris from the family of the petrels to the example. Of Cory's shearwaters counts.
