The Shennong Glacier ( Chinese 神農 冰川 ) is a glacier on the Ingrid Christensen coast of the East Antarctic Princess Elisabeth Land . It flows into Prydz Bay , which it reaches in the form of a glacier tongue between the Bølingen archipelago and the Stornes peninsula .
Norwegian cartographers mapped it using aerial photographs from the Lars Christensen expedition in 1936/37 . The name was given by Chinese scientists. It is named after Shennong , a figure from Chinese mythology.
