Shikine-jima ( Japanese 式 根 島 ) is a volcanic island in the Pacific Ocean . It belongs geographically to the Izu Islands and administratively to the village of Niijima of Tokyo .

Shikine-jima is located in the Pacific Ocean south of Sagami Bay and southeast of the Izu Peninsula .
The island has an area of 3.67 km². The highest mountain is the Kampiki ( 神 引 山 , -yama ) with 98.5 m, but the northwest of the island rises to 109 m.

Shikine-jima is part of the archipelago in the Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park .
