The Shikoku Railway Company ( Japanese 四 国 旅客 鉄 道 株式会社 , Shikoku ryokaku tetsudō kabushiki kaisha , short: JR 四 国 , JR Shikoku ) is one of the seven successors of the Japanese National Railways, which was privatized in 1987 . It operates the formerly state network on the island of Shikoku .
