Shimen

Shimen ( 石门县 , Shímén Xiàn ) is a district in the prefecture -level city of Changde in the north of the Chinese province of Hunan . It has an area of ​​3970.2 square kilometers and has 692.904 inhabitants (2004). Its main town is the Chujiang (楚 江镇) community.

A Neolithic site, after which a Neolithic culture is named, was discovered in the large community of Zoushi 皂 市镇.

Administrative structure

At the community level, the district is made up of eleven large communities and eight communities.
