Changde ( Chinese  常德 , Pinyin Chángdé ) is a district-free city in the Chinese province of Hunan .

Administrative structure

At the county level, Changde is made up of two districts, one urban district and six districts. These are:

  • Wuling District - 武陵区Wǔlíng Qū ;
  • Dingcheng District - 鼎 城区Dǐngchēng Qū ;
  • Jinshi city - 津市 市Jīnshì Shì ;
  • District Anxiang -安乡县Anxiang Xiàn ;
  • Hanshou County - 汉寿 县Hànshòu Xiàn ;
  • Li County - 澧县Lǐ Xiàn ;
  • Linli County - 临澧 县Línlǐ Xiàn ;
  • District Taoyuan -桃源县Taoyuan Xiàn ;
  • Shimen County - 石门县Shímén Xiàn .

Others

The Iron Sutra Column in Changde (Changde tiechuang 常德 铁 幢) has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China since 1982 .

In 2016, the city of Changde, in cooperation with the city of Hanover, built a district in the city that is supposed to resemble Hanover's old town . A German shopping street is created. The district was officially opened on October 17, 2016, in the presence of the mayors Stefan Schostok and Zhou Derui, as well as the city party leader Qun Wang.
