Loudi ( Chinese 娄底 市 , Pinyin Lóudǐ Shì ) is a district-free city in the center of the Chinese province of Hunan . Loudi is located about 100 kilometers southwest of the provincial capital Changsha . According to the 2010 census and an area of 8,117 km², Loudi has 3,785,627 inhabitants, with 425,037 people living in the actual urban settlement area (2010 census), making it a small to medium-sized city by Chinese standards.
Administrative structure
At the district level, Loudi consists of a city district, two independent cities and two districts. These are:
- District Louxing -娄星区Louxing Qū ;
- City of Lengshuijiang - 冷水江 市Lěngshuǐjiāng Shì ;
- City Lianyuan -涟源市Lianyuan Shì ;
- District Shuangfeng -双峰县Shuangfeng Xiàn ;
- Xinhua County - 新化 县Xīnhuà Xiàn .
