Shin'ichi Mutō ( Japanese 武 藤 真 一 , Mutō Shin'ichi ; born April 2, 1973 in Miyagi Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Mutō learned to play football on the school team at Sendai Ikuei High School . He signed his first contract with JEF United Ichihara in 1992 . The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . In 1998 he reached the final of the J.League Cup . For the club, he completed 195 first division games. In June 2003 he moved to league rivals Ōita Trinita . He then played for Grulla Morioka and FC Ganju Iwate . At the end of 2007 he ended his career as a football player.
