Shingo Francis

Shingo Francis ( Japaneseフ ラ ン シ ス 真 悟, Furanshisu Shingo; * 1969 in Santa Monica ) is an American painter .

biography

Shingo Francis was born in California to the American painter Sam Francis and the Japanese video artist Mako Idemitsu . He has a brother, Osamu. From the age of 3 to 13 he lived in Tokyo with his mother and then moved back to the USA. He did his BFA in 1992 . at Pitzer College, USA and in 2017 his MFA at the Art Center College of Design , USA.
