The Art Center College of Design is a US private university in Pasadena , California. It is one of the leading design schools in the USA. Studies in advertising , entertainment design, environmental design, film , art, graphic design , illustration , interactive design, photography and imaging, product design, and automotive design are offered .
history
The design school with the name Art Center was founded in 1930 by the advertiser Edward A. Adams , who also acted as director, with the branches of advertising , publishing and industrial design. Ansel Adams taught photography. Additional undergraduate programs have been started in 1967 Art, 1973 Film, 1984 Graphic Design, 1981 Product Design, 1992 Environmental Design and 2008 Entertainment Design. New graduate programs were launched in 1975 Broadcast Cinema, 1986 Art, 2000 Media Design and 2004 Industrial Design.

College Art has two locations: the Hillside Campus and the South Campus.
The Hillside Campus above Pasadena in the San Rafael Hills is located on 71 hectares of land. Its center is the Bridge Building by architect Craig Ellwood from 1976, which spans a dry river valley and a road.
The South Campus, opened in 2004, is a former wind tunnel from the Second World War housed the by architect Kevin Daly was renovated and redesigned by 2009.
