Hiroshi Sugimoto ( Japanese杉 本 博 司, Sugimoto Hiroshi , born February 23, 1948 in Tokyo , Japan ) is a Japanese photographer who lives and works in New York , USA .

life and work

Hiroshi Sugimoto studied at Saint Paul's University in Tokyo . During his art studies at the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles , he was sustained by the American art movements of minimalism and conceptual art (concept art) affected.

He works exclusively in the medium of black and white photography and according to the concept of the series by consistently pursuing the idea of ​​individual series over a long period of time.
