Shingo Suzuki ( Japanese 鈴木 慎 吾 Suzuki Shingo ; born March 20, 1978 in Saitama Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Suzuki learned to play football in the youth team of Urawa Reds . He signed his first contract with the Urawa Reds in 1996. The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . He then played for Yokogawa Electric . In 1999 he moved to the second division club Albirex Niigata . For the club he completed 112 games. In 2002 he was loaned to the first division club Kyoto Purple Sanga (today: Kyoto Sanga FC). In 2002 he won the Kaiser Cup with the club . For the club, he completed 60 top division games. In 2004 he returned to the league rivals Albirex Niigata. For the club he completed 110 first division games. In July 2007 he moved to league rivals Ōita Trinita . In 2008 he won the J.League Cup with the club . For the club, he completed 70 first division games. He then played for Kyoto Sanga FC , Tokyo Verdy , Giravanz Kitakyushu and Albirex Niigata (Singapore) . At the end of 2013, he ended his career as a football player.
