Coordinates: 29 ° 41 ′ S , 115 ° 53 ′ E The Shire of Carnamah is a local government area (LGA) in the Australian state of Western Australia . The area is 2876 km² and has about 550 inhabitants.
Carnamah is located in the west of the state on the Australian west coast about 250 kilometers north of the capital Perth . The seat of the Shire Council is in the village of Carnamah, where about 300 residents live (2016).

The Carnamah Council has seven members. They are elected by all residents of the Shire. Carnamah is not divided into districts. The chairman of the council (Shire President) is also recruited from among the councilors.
