Coordinates: 32 ° 40 ′ S , 118 ° 9 ′ E The Shire of Kulin is a local government area (LGA) in the Australian state of Western Australia . The area is 4714 km² and has about 750 inhabitants (2016).
Kulin is located in the western Australian "wheat belt" in the southeast of the state about 230 kilometers southeast of the capital Perth . The seat of the Shire Council is in the village of Kulin, where 300 residents live (2016).

The Kulin Council has nine members. The councilors are elected by the residents of the four wards (three each from West and Town Ward, two from Central and one from East Ward). The Council Chairman and Shire President are also recruited from among the Councilor.
