Coordinates: 30 ° 55 ′ S , 118 ° 12 ′ E The Shire of Mukinbudin is a local government area (LGA) in the Australian state of Western Australia . The area is 3437 km² and has about 500 inhabitants.
Mukinbudin is located in the western Australian "wheat belt" in the southeast of the state about 250 kilometers north of the capital Perth . The seat of the Shire Council is located in the village of Mukinbudin, where about 275 residents live (2016).

The Mukinbudin Council has nine members. Councilors are elected by residents of the four wards (five from Town, two from Bonnie Rock, and one each from Wilgoyne and Wattoning Ward). The Council Chairman and Shire President are also recruited from among the Councilor.
