Shnookums & Meat (original title: Shnookums and Meat , alternative title: Das Chaosteam Shnookums & Meat ) is an American animated series from 1995 .

action

The series is about the cat Shnookums and the dog Meat and presents their everyday lives in a humorous and satirical way. Since they are forced to live under one roof and can not particularly suffer, it leads to a lot of anger and argument. There is also the animal superhero Pith Possum, who is fighting against the crime in the city of Possum City together with his friend, the raccoon Opediah. Another character is the sheriff Tex Tinstar, who ensures law and order in the Wild West.

Production and publication

The series was produced in 1995 by Walt Disney Television Animation in the USA. This resulted in 13 episodes, each with three individual stories. The producer and writer is Bill Kopp, and Jeff DeGrandis directed and co-produced it . Both knew each other from the California Institute Of The Arts and had worked on several cartoons.

The series first aired in the United States from January 2 to March 27, 1995. The German first broadcast took place from November 23, 1996 to January 19, 1997 on the television station RTL . The series was later also broadcast on Super RTL .
