Shy was a band from Linz in Upper Austria . The band was formed in 1991 as Three Lions on My Chest and renamed Shy in 1992. Her style was German-speaking indie pop, influenced in earlier phases by bands like The Smiths, but in later times increasingly complex, from easy listening to country to krautrock. On November 30, 2014, the band broke up.

In 2007 the band was nominated for the FM4 Award, which is presented as part of the Amadeus Austrian Music Award .
