Siam Paragon
The Siam Paragon is a shopping mall in the Pathum Wan district of Bangkok , Thailand . It is nicknamed "The Pride Of Bangkok".
General information
The Siam Paragon is located on the site of the former Siam Intercontinental Hotel. The site is owned by the Crown Property Bureau and was once a royal park of the nearby Sra Pathum Palace (Lotus Pond Palace). After three years of construction, it was opened with a big celebration on December 9, 2005. The construction costs amounted to 15 billion Baht (309 million euros , as of December 2005). Along with the Emporium Shopping Center on Sukhumvit Road, it is considered the most exclusive shopping paradise in Bangkok. The facility is managed by a joint venture between The Mall Group (also manages the Emporium) and Bangkok Intercontinental Hotels Co. (Thailand) .

The Siam Paragon is located on Rama I. Road in the center of Bangkok in the district of Pathum Wan , a district known for its many shopping and entertainment options: opposite the Paragon is Siam Square with many restaurants and cinemas, next door is the Siam Center and the Siam Discovery Center and diagonally opposite the Maboonkrong Center.
The Siam Paragon is easy to reach with the BTS Skytrain public transport , it is directly connected to the BTS Siam station via a pedestrian bridge.
Facilities
Countless shops and boutiques as well as the department store Siam Paragon department store can be found on 500,000 square meters. Almost every well-known luxury brand, no matter from which part of the world, is offered here. Visitors and tourists from other Asian countries, primarily Japan and Hong Kong, like to come to Bangkok to buy luxury items from well-known manufacturers. These are usually much cheaper in Thailand.
The Siam Paragon has 16 cinemas, 52 bowling alleys and a fitness studio.
With the Royal Paragon Hall , it has a complete exhibition and event center with three exhibition halls, five rooms for meetings, a business center and a VIP lounge.
Siam Ocean World is located on the two basement floors. This aquarium is home to over 30,000 animals, an artificially created reef , a shark tank and a 4D cinema .
