Sic et Non (own name sic et non. Magazine for philosophy and culture. On the net. ) Is an internet magazine focusing on philosophy , sociology as well as culture and media . Are published professional articles and reviews . The journal focuses on political philosophy and topics from the fields of phenomenology , poststructuralism , epistemology , media philosophy , hypertext and culture ( art , literature , film ). The magazine wants to help new authors to draw attention to their texts and publications. The articles are publicly accessible via an archive .

history

The journal was founded under the title Philosophia perennis: Bamberg Journal for Philosophy in 1991 by Martin Götze, Christian Lotz , Konstantin Pollok and Dorothea Wildenburg. In 1996 the title changed to Sic et Non and it was published as an internet publication. From 1999 to March 2005 Sic et Non was edited by Florian Ehrensperger. Since the beginning of 2005 the journal has been looked after by the Darmstadt Institute for Philosophy. Christian Diel, Reinhard Heil, Rainer Becker and Dirk Hommrich acted as editors until 2012. Petra Rogge (Constance) and Rainer Becker (Darmstadt) have been the editors since 2013.
