Weiher am Siebenborn

Siebenborn-Hütten was a forest hut settlement south of Mandern , Rhineland-Palatinate .

According to the Tranchot map from 1812, there was, among other things, the forest hut settlement Siebenborn-Hütten. These huts died because the royal government initiated the resettlement of the charcoal burner and wood-cutter families in the vicinity and on the outskirts of the village around 1840. The Siebenborn raft pond was created in 1775. In 1820, 24 families with 154 people lived there and a forest house remained inhabited until 1906.
