Mandern am Burkelsbach is a municipality in the Trier-Saarburg district in Rhineland-Palatinate . It belongs to the Saarburg-Kell association.

Mandern is located in the Saar-Hunsrück Nature Park .

The district of Niederkell an der Ruwer is partly on the outskirts of Waldweiler . The Forsthaus Klink, Unterste Mühle and Ulmenhof residential areas also belong to Mandern .

economy

In 1956 the automotive and construction supplier Bilstein settled in Mandern. Today specializing in the production of shock absorbers , the factory, which is now part of the ThyssenKrupp Group , employs 850 people and is therefore one of the largest employers in the region.
