Attractions
In the middle of the village is the so-called ten-mile stone, a stylized representation of a Roman Leugen stone . The original is in the Rheinisches Landesmuseum in Trier.
The center of the village is the Catholic parish church of St. Agritius , which was rebuilt in 1735/36 by Abbot Martin Bewer and consecrated in 1736. It houses a late baroque choir from the 15th century. Between 1986 and 1991 the interior of the church, which is consecrated to Saint Agritius, the fourth bishop of Trier, was renovated and restored.
In the walls of today's inn "Zum Anker" there was a noble winery at the time of the Maximiner. The coat of arms of Johannes Theodorus Meelbaum de Castelburg reminds of this time over a sandstone-framed chimney from this time.
A well house from the 18th century stands in front of the Maximiner Hof , as a reminder of former village life.
In Detzem is since the Mosel channeling the barrage with the largest drop height of 9 meters. The lock and barrage are on an island in the Moselle.
A hiking trail leads to an approximately 20.5 m high wooden observation tower in the Detzemer Forest, from which the eye can see the arch of the Moselle five times in good weather, the so-called five-lake view .
