Siegbert Wortmann

Siegbert Wortmann (born October 30, 1955 in Hüllhorst ) is a German computer pioneer and entrepreneur who is committed to the regional economy. In 2007 he received the Federal Cross of Merit for his commitment .

Entrepreneur

The trained banker Siegbert Wortmann is the founder and owner of Wortmann AG in Hüllhorst. In 1986, Siegbert Wortmann and his business partner Thomas Knicker founded Wortmann Terra Impex Computer and Data Processing GmbH . In 1998 the GmbH became part of Wortmann AG . At the beginning of 2010, Wortmann took over Ulrich Upmeyer's shares as the majority shareholder in the Westfalia Group from Borgholzhausen . He is also managing directors of roda computer GmbH in Lichtenau together with Martin Bertsch and Frank Scholz .

Honors

Siegbert Wortmann was elected Entrepreneur of the Year 2001 in East Westphalia-Lippe in May 2002 . In 2007 he received the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon .

Wortmann is married and has three children.
