Siegerland company run

The Siegerland AOK company run takes place every year in Siegen in North Rhine-Westphalia . In the company run , groups and teams from various companies, associations and organizations from Siegerland and the neighboring areas compete.

In 2004 the run took place in downtown Siegen for the first time. A year later, the start and finish were moved to the Siegen district of Weidenau . The run starts at Weidenauer Bismarckplatz and leads back through Siegen city center to the square. Since 2007 the run has a fixed route length of 5,535 m. In 2012, with the upper limit of 8,500 runners, more participants started than ever before. The registration limit of 9,000 participants was reached for the first time in 2015.

Since 2013, the Volksbank student run has been held on the morning of the running day, in which 2350 students took part in 2017.
