Siegfried Hornung

Siegfried Hornung (born July 8, 1938 in Ballenberg ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and former member of the Bundestag .

Life

After attending elementary school, Hornung attended an agricultural vocational school and then a technical school and learned the trade of master agriculture. From then on he worked as a self-employed farmer. In addition, he was honorary chairman of the Neckar-Odenwaldkreis farmers' association, and he was also a member of the board of the agricultural social insurance in Baden and a member of the federal board.

In 1962 he joined the Junge Union , two years later the CDU. He was a member of the district and district board as well as the state board until he was elected to the Bundestag for the first time in 1983. In the 1987 election he was unable to win a seat, but on February 6, 1990 he returned to the Bundestag as the successor to Bernhard Friedmann . He did not run for office in the 2002 Bundestag election and left office.
