Siegfried K. Wiedmann (* 1938 in Plochingen ) is a German electrical engineer who developed techniques for integrated circuits at IBM .

Wiedmann studied electrical engineering at the TH Stuttgart with a diploma in 1963 and a doctorate in 1967. He then worked for IBM in their laboratory in Böblingen and in the USA. In the 1980s he became a professor at the Technical University of Berlin, where Horst Berger built up microelectronics.

In 1977 he received the IEEE Morris N. Liebmann Memorial Award (with Horst H. Berger ) for the development of the Merged Transistor Logic (MTL, German: Integrated Injection Logic ) and became an IBM Fellow in 1979 .
