Siegfried Walther

Siegfried Walther (born April 28, 1955 in Karlsruhe ) is a German theater actor .

Life

Walther completed his training at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna and was engaged in 1979 at the Theater in der Josefstadt . From 1989 he played for five years at the Schauspielhaus Zürich and returned to the Theater in der Josefstadt in 1994.

He played numerous roles such as in: The great magic, Don Juan or the love of geometry, Much Ado About Nothing, There is peace over all peaks, Liliom, Othello must not burst, Man / Woman / Child, The Alpine King and the Misanthrope, The Green Cockatoo, Vending Machine Buffet, The Threepenny Opera, Kampl, A Strange Couple, Andorra, The Great Day, The Seagull, The Auditor, Nice Christmas Present, Unexpected, The Last Day, Buddenbrooks, Flea In The Ear, A Somewhat Weird Lady, Sugar - Some like it hot, Heldenplatz, to be or not to be, a block on the leg, dream novel, The King's Speech, The Mentor, For Love, Wedding in Italian - Filumena Marturano, The Shots of Sarajevo, The Mousetrap, The Torn One, Breakfast at Tiffany, Before Sunset, The Rooster, People in the Hotel, The Girl from the Suburbs, The Wild Duck, Monsieur Claude and his Daughters, Shakespeare in Love, Madame Bovary. He was also involved in the Salzburg Festival , the Stockerau Festival , the Kobersdorf Castle Games and in film and TV productions.

Siegfried Walther was nominated twice for the Nestroy Theater Prize: 2005 for the portrayal of Sosias in "Amphitryon" and 2016 for the portrayal of Kringelein in "Menschen im Hotel"
