Sieghütte
Sieghütte was a medieval suburb of the city of Siegen in the district of Siegen . It originated around the hut of the same name and used to be called Dillnhenrichshütten or Tillnhenrichshütten or Auf der Sieg .
The Gontermann roller foundry existed until 1898 , when operations were relocated to Marienborn . In 1798 there were 58 houses in Sieghütte. In 1834 there were 407 people in the Sieghütte district; in 1861 there were 485.
The term “Sieghütte” is still used today for orientation purposes. For example, the Hüttentalstrasse exit there is called “Sieghütte”.
