Siegrid Müller-Holtz

Siegrid Müller-Holtz (* 1948 in Stralsund ) is a German visual artist .

Live and act

Müller-Holtz was born in Stralsund in 1948. In 1957 she moved to Krefeld and began studying art and education in Münster in 1968, which she completed in 1971. From 1971 to 2007 she lived and worked as an artist with her own studio in Berlin-Wilmersdorf.

In 1996 she moved her studio to Caputh near Potsdam. Since 2007, the center of her work and life has been on Schwielowsee. Since October 2013 Siegrid Müller-Holtz has been living in Berlin again at times and continues to work in her studio in Caputh. The artist is represented in her works at home and abroad. Among other things, she designed the section Mixed feelings at the Berlin East Side Gallery .

In spring 2013 her colleague, the visual artist Jutta Barth , founded the Berlin artist group connex_berlin . This group of artists includes the founder, Jürgen Kellig , Annette Polzer and Siegrid Müller-Holtz. With painting, drawing, photography, assemblage and objects, the works of the group in the joint exhibitions encompass a spectrum of contemporary abstract art.

In 2016, the year of the 175th anniversary of the Association of Berlin Artists , she became 1st Chairwoman.
