Sielmann's nature ranger

The association Sielmanns Natur-Ranger Germany eV is the youth organization of the Heinz Sielmann Foundation , which was founded by the zoologist and animal filmmaker Heinz Sielmann and his wife Inge.

The nature rangers are the only pure youth organization among nature conservation organizations . In currently 15 local teams (2017), nature and the environment are brought closer to children and young people. Since its foundation, the organization has had the aim of doing exemplary work in order to fill the term sustainability in nature conservation work with content.

The nature rangers began their work in 1983 under the name "WWF Panda Club" as a joint project of the environmental foundation WWF Germany and the magazine Ein Herz für Tiere . After separating from the WWF in 1996, the Panda Club went into business for almost two years under the name “Natur-Ranger Deutschland eV”. In 1998 the nature rangers found the Heinz Sielmann Foundation .
