The Siemens high-rise in Munich's Baierbrunner Strasse 54 is a well-known Munich building and a landmark of the Siemens location in Obersendling . The building was built between 1961 and 1963 according to the plans of the architect Hans Maurer . With 23 floors and a height of 75 m, it was the tallest office tower in the city when it was completed.

As part of the Isar Süd project, two more high-rise buildings were to be added to form an ensemble. These plans were criticized by opponents of high-rise buildings and finally blocked in November 2004 with a referendum . After the failure of Isar Süd, there were rumors that Siemens was planning to demolish the building. Instead of tearing it down, Siemens sold the building to Hubert Haupt Immobilien Holding in early 2006, who offered it for rent. The building is a listed building .

In 2011 Hubert Haupt Immobilien Holding sold the building to ISARIA Wohnbau AG. After an architectural competition for the conversion to a residential building was concluded in May 2015, construction work was to begin in March 2016. 270 apartments with a total sales volume of € 189 million were planned in the building. The "South One" project ended in 2018. ISARIA Wohnbau AG sold in January 2019. the Siemens high-rise to the Swiss real estate investor Empira AG.
