Siemens Venturio

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Siemens Venturio was a concept for a planned high-speed train from Siemens Mobility around 2006 .

The concept for the Venturio envisaged variable trains with three to twelve cars and different drive systems. The speed range of the vehicles was intended for 160 to 250 km / h. Depending on the requirements, it would have been equipped with or without tilting technology . As it was completely independent of existing voltage and train control systems , the Venturi series would also have been suitable for use across national borders.

With the Venturio, Siemens participated in the tender for 116 cross-border high-speed trains from the TEE Rail Alliance .

The Venturio was never produced.
