Sigri Mitra Gaïni
Sigri Mitra Gaïni ( Persian سیگری میترا قائنی[ siːgʲˈriː miːtˈrɔː ɢɔːeˈniː ]; * 1975 in Oslo ) is a Faroese film actress and poet.
Sigri Mitra Gaïni is the daughter of a Faroese and an Iranian . Born in Norway , she grew up both there and in the Faroe Islands . In 1995/1996 she trained as an actress at the film school in Ebeltoft ( Denmark ). This was followed by studies at the Academy of Live and Recording Arts in London . From 1997 she studied philosophy at the University of Copenhagen .
Sigri Mitra Gaïni has published three volumes of poetry in Faroese so far .
In 1998, she played one of the leading roles as Barba in the first Faroese road movie Bye Bye Bluebird by filmmaker Katrin Ottarsdóttir . She also played the Shawarma in Polle fra Snave 2002.
