Brørs, who started for theURNAAL IL, ran his first World Cup race in Lahti in March 1990 , which he ended prematurely. In the 1991/92 season he took third place in Cogne over 15 km freestyle, his first World Cup points and also achieved his only podium finish in the individual World Cup. He finished 27th in the overall World Cup, his best overall result. In the following season he came six times in the points and thus achieved 33rd place in the overall World Cup. At the season highlight, the Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun in 1993 , he started over 50 km freestyle, but ended this race prematurely. At the Norwegian championships in 1993 he was third over 10 km. He completed his 27th and last individual race in the World Cup in March 1996 in Oslo , which he finished classically in 28th place over 50 km.
